Beta Terms of Use

Last updated: October 29, 2026

These terms cover your use of the CheapskateIQ beta ("CheapskateIQ", "the service"), run by Eric T. Morris ("we", "us"). By signing up or using the app you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

The short version:

• CheapskateIQ gives estimates, not guarantees or financial advice. Your buying and selling decisions are yours.

• It's a free, invite-only beta that can change or end. Please keep your link private and use it fairly.

• You own your photos. Delete them any time.

1. The beta

CheapskateIQ is an early, invite-only beta. It is free to use during the beta, but features can change, break, be limited (for example by a daily appraisal limit) or be removed, and the beta can be paused or ended at any time. We'll tell you in advance of any significant change where we reasonably can.

2. Estimates only, not advice

CheapskateIQ's identifications, market values, maximum buy prices, list prices, profit figures and Buy / Maybe / Pass verdicts are automated estimates. They may be wrong, incomplete or out of date. They are not financial, tax, investment or professional advice, and we don't guarantee that any item will sell, or sell at any price. You are responsible for your own purchasing and selling decisions, including checking an item's authenticity, condition, safety and legality.

3. Your account and link

4. Acceptable use

Please don't:

5. Your photos and content

You keep ownership of the photos and information you add. You give us permission to process, store and display them to you, and to send them to the service providers that run CheapskateIQ (for example the AI service that identifies items), only as needed to provide and secure the service. You can delete items or your whole account at any time. See the Privacy Policy for how data is handled.

6. eBay, Vinted and other services

CheapskateIQ is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by eBay, Vinted or Facebook (Meta). If you connect your eBay account, you authorize CheapskateIQ to create and publish listings only when you ask it to, and you remain responsible for those listings, including their accuracy, eBay's rules, fees and taxes. eBay's, Vinted's and our other providers' own terms apply to your use of their services.

7. No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We don't promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that it will meet your needs.

8. Limits on our responsibility

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost profits, lost sales, missed opportunities, or any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) CheapskateIQ, including from decisions made using its estimates. Nothing in these terms limits any right or liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited.

9. Ending your use

You can stop using CheapskateIQ and delete your account at any time from the Account tab. We may suspend or end your access, or the beta, at any time. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as 2, 5, 7 and 8) will continue after that.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we make a significant change we'll update the date above and let beta testers know. Continuing to use CheapskateIQ after a change means you accept it.
